A&I │ destination wedding in kenya { part one }

Finally i got some time to blog about the amazing wedding from Irene & Alan.

It was a typical hot day in january in Nairobi. The night before the wedding I (Tanja) could not sleep, being excited and nervous at the same time.

Mainly, as it was our first destination wedding and secondly it reminded me of our own wedding, which we celebrated in kenya two years ago.

We love african weddings, they are full of joy, fun, laughter and a lot of dancing I don’t know how to dance, but i love watching kenyans dancing! At weddings you see everybody dancing, beginning from a small kid up to the granny, watch yourself and enjoy.

We wanna say a big asante sana (in swahili) to Irene & Alan for giving us the opportunity to share this big and important day with you. It was an honor for us to shoot your wedding day!

I love your shoes Irene ♥
Stunning Bride ♥
Handsome Groom!

Here we go, the women arrived to celebrate the bride traditionally and carry her along to the car.

Love this traditon, it is so much fun and gives you a special feeling, that you can´t describe unless you have been there.
These are the cars that escort the bride. Birde & Dad are in the first one.
Arrival at the venue…
Can you feel the atmosphere? These guys are dancing to welcome the bride.
Thanks to the Pastor for the wonderful sermon, you were a blessing!
Well, i dont know what the pastor said, but seems like the bride was shocked ;)
The parents of the bride are officially giving her daughter to the groom and exchanging blessings.

Kenyans have a lot of beautiful traditions.
